Well its some time since a updateed this thought it was a good time to left you know what happened.
The Hosting Company we had chosen had little or kown expertes whenit came to support developers and although they had said they supported Drupal it was clear by there archaic practices that the really didn't.  One recommadeation thewy made toget the site working was to remove the .htaccess files ( there goes site security!!.
 
As we had only been with them 5 day we made the decision to cancel our contact and start again.   Went to the drupal.org.uk site and found out host who where recommended .  Everyone was singing the praises of on Host in particular  clook.net.  We took the plung and have not looke dback since they have been helpful and nothing is too small.
